Presence Over Performance

In a few days, I’m hitting the road for a new wave of Choose Your Ending keynotes and events. As a full summer of family, baseball, and backyard chaos winds down… it's time to step back on stage.

But before the mic, the spotlight, and the slides…

I’m reminding myself what really matters:

Not the polish.

Not the pitch.

Not the applause.

Presence.

That’s the difference-maker.

And that’s not just for speakers.

It’s for leaders. Parents. Partners. Teammates.

Anyone who’s ever walked into a room and wondered:

“Am I enough?”

Presence isn’t about doing more.

It’s about being here.

Being the calm in the room.

Being the one who actually sees and hears.

Being the breath others remember long after your words fade.

THIS ENDS NOW

Identify one habit, belief, or behavior that’s no longer serving you—and let it go.

The old story: “I need to prove my worth.”

Where did that start?

What has it cost you—emotionally, relationally, even physically?

Who do you become when you're always performing?

Let’s say, “This ends NOW.”

THIS MOMENT MATTERS

One simple, actionable step to take to create a ripple effect of change in your life

Right now—wherever you are—pause.

Place your hand on your chest.

Breathe deep.

And say:

“I’m here. That’s enough.”

Then, when you walk into your next meeting, your next dinner, your next hard conversation…

Leave the performance behind.

Step into presence.

See what happens.

Carry a new story with you this week:

“I show up in full presence. That’s enough.”

No more shrinking. No more striving.

Just showing up—already chosen, already worthy.

Up we go—

P.S. If your team is navigating uncertainty, I’d love to support you. This is the work I do—in keynotes, workshops, and real conversations that help people reconnect to peace and power in the moments that matter. Just click here and book a time to chat.
