[MTM] What comes after the ending?

Earlier this year, I made one of the scariest decisions in my business:

I stopped booking other speakers through The Speakers Group.

After more than 20 years of building that brand—priding myself on curating talent and fielding incoming inquiries—I knew it wasn’t aligned anymore.

Truth is, I had known for years.

But it was part of my identity, as I shared last week.

And I told myself I could keep part of it, scale it back, make it “manageable.”

I tried to end it halfway. And halfway endings don’t work.

I was stuck in The Comfort Loop—holding on to what felt familiar, even though it no longer felt true.

Credit to my wife for helping me and creating the safe space to finally make The Brave Choice. To end it.

Not because something better was guaranteed.

But because something better was possible.

Here’s the truth:

When you choose an ending, you create space for something new.

But that “new” won’t just walk in on its own.

You have to live from the future you’re building.

After choosing my ending, I began writing—daily—from the version of me I was becoming:

“The speaker booked out. The message clear. The calendar full.

My content flows. My impact grows. I walk in abundance, not anxiety.”

That became my new source code.

Some shifts came quickly. Others are still unfolding.

But next month, I’m going coast to coast with events—and most importantly, with audiences and clients to serve.

I’ve seen once again what I’ve seen time and time over the years:

You don’t create the future by hustle.
You create it by alignment.

So what needs to end for you right now?

And what’s the future you’re ready to live from?

THIS ENDS NOW

Identify one habit, belief, or behavior that’s no longer serving you—and let it go.

Stop waiting for the future to feel safe before you step into it.

End the half-commitments.

End the story that says “maybe later.”

End the belief that you need proof before you act on possibility.

This is your moment to let go of what’s no longer true—so you can live from what’s already calling you forward.

THIS MOMENT MATTERS

One simple, actionable step to take to create a ripple effect of change in your life.

You don’t need a perfect plan.

But you do need a daily practice.

Here’s a simple way to start:

  1. Begin the Day with Embodiment.
Before you open your email or calendar, ask:
“Who am I on the other side of the breakthrough?”
Not what you hope will happen—but who you already are when it’s real.
The calm leader. The confident speaker. The present parent.
Now breathe like them. Walk like them. Lead like them.
Even one breath in that identity shifts your state.
  2. Anchor Midday.
Leave yourself a sticky note reminder: “Live from the future.”
When you see it, pause and ask:
“Am I reacting from fear, or creating from alignment?”
If you’ve slipped? No shame. Just recalibrate. That’s the work.
  3. Close the Day in Alignment.
    Before bed, write one sentence:
    “Today, I practiced becoming…”
Let it be real. Let it be enough.

Your future doesn’t start “someday.”

It starts in a single moment.

A single breath.

A single brave choice to end what no longer serves—and begin living from what already is.

Up we go—
