New podcast + "Top Change Management Speaker" recognition

It snowed here in Ohio. Wind chill was 10 below.

And the kids still went to school.

Rock and roll, baby!!

Now, before someone emails me 🤣 yes, of course I care about the kids' safety. (I'm also realizing adding a laughing-crying emoji to that statement doesn't make it very convincing.)

Coming from Tennessee, though, where we could lose multiple school days due to the threat of inclement weather - now that deserves a 🤣 - as a parent who works from home, this is pretty awesome.

I trust the kids are in great hands, AND I can be productive, so it's a win-win.

And now, let's get down to business...

Two exciting announcements for you this week:

1. The Better Life Better Business Podcast is BACK!!!

That's right. Launched in 2011, on hiatus since 2017, a new episode just dropped last Thursday:

I've been wanting to bring the podcast back for a while now, but one thing or another has gotten in the way. (Ever happen to you?) This time when I had the idea, though, I thought, "You should do that!" So I did.

And in this first episode back, in addition to reflecting on the last 20 years in business, I'm also encouraging and challenging you to think about that idea or desire that just won't let you go. Because if it won't let you go, then I think you should do that!

Listen on my website or on Apple Podcasts here.

NOTE: If you aren't in the mood for motivation today but you'd like to hear the sweet story of how my partner Megan and I connected on the other side of a "you should do that!" moment... you'll find that in this episode, too, around the 16-minute mark.

And if you do listen, would you do me a huge favor and leave a rating and a comment? That will help us reach even more people with this encouraging message.

2. I was recently named as one of the Top Change Management Keynote Speakers of 2024 by Gotham Artists, a top agency in New York.

As they wrote:

With more than 20 years of experience in leadership, entrepreneurship, and collaboration with the world’s top thought leaders, keynote speaker Shawn Ellis is championing a new era of resilient leadership that can adapt, evolve, and emerge stronger from adversity. His transformative framework, The Reboot Roadmap, enables individuals and organizations to not just survive challenges, but to go Beyond Resilience and thrive, returning stronger and more effective than ever before in a deeply fulfilling, human-centric work environment.

I'm grateful for the recognition, and committed to delivering on it.

There are some exciting things on the horizon for 2024, and together, the journey to coming back better than EVER continues.

Are you with me?

Up we go.
